weekly retro #52: walking in this cold for a haunted doll head

happy february, a month where we hope to celebrate love as well as my 41st birthday. it will also be the month we hit one full year of reading (and i, writing) these weekly retros! this is my personal "new years" season, and it's opening up with lots of opportunities for change. one of those changes that i know is coming and i'm dreading is my aerial yoga studio permanently closing at the end of the month.

my "shopping" note keeps me from buying dumb shit all the time

it's been over five years since i blogged about what candles i've been burning. shortly after that post i started making my own candles, so many and so often that i was able to start giving them away to friends and coworkers. and then five years after that post, i launched bugs rock to sell them.

you do not have to use generative ai "art" in your blogs because there are websites where you can get real, nice images for free

too many people are doing a great disservice to their writing by garnishing it with generative-ai (artificial intelligence) - it looks tacky and it cheapens the words around it. there are so many human-created, realistic, and beautiful images available for you to use on your blogs, websites and projects for free. the following is a list that i believe just scratches the surface of what's available out there.

this was one of the first weeks where i felt normal in awhile. i wrote a lot, finally put out my monthly newsletter, was active, and was getting stuff done. something clicked in my mind today when i realized my thyroid probably, finally adjusted to my new dose.
