too many people are doing a great disservice to their writing by garnishing it with generative-ai (artificial intelligence) - it looks tacky and it cheapens the words around it. there are so many human-created, realistic, and beautiful images available for you to use on your blogs, websites and projects for free. the following is a list that i believe just scratches the surface of what's available out there.

this was one of the first weeks where i felt normal in awhile. i wrote a lot, finally put out my monthly newsletter, was active, and was getting stuff done. something clicked in my mind today when i realized my thyroid probably, finally adjusted to my new dose.

we are less than a week away from fastly shutting down glitch.com. while i haven't worked there in 10 months, i'm still as much a glitch power user as i've been since i helped launch it in 2017, so i have been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, and with some of you live, to find new homes for my most precious projects.

i'm just coming down now from a heightened state of agitation, caused by only just realizing at 5pm that daylight saving time ended while we were asleep. imagine the clock saying 5pm and your cat is not screaming for food and treats, it's *terrifying* lol! fortunately, pumagreg is fine and, as far as he's concerned, getting an early dinner.

a month ago i left a job i held for several years, a job that took me through a winding road of launching a product, going through an acquisition, lots of high points and lows...but ultimately i got to end the journey on my own terms, on my own time. i couldn't have asked for anything more, especially given the state of the world. i'm so very proud of my work at glitch and fastly, and it's special how i got to be one of just a handful of people who can say they have grown and lead millions of developers in creating the web and community! it was a lot of fucking work, though, and i need a break.
