i'm writing this in the middle of that big snow storm the news has been talking about all week. i'm also watching and hearing the little rice-sized sleet bouncing off the window sill, avoiding thinking about what conditions are going to be like tomorrow when we're all expected to go about our mondays.

today my body and brain seemed to go on strike, it's been such a hectic week with my dad's health taking a bad turn. he's in the best possible position for what he's going through, and my brother and i have been in a good rhythm of being helpful in the situation. honestly, my brother is doing most of the work!

it's pretty late into the night as i type this. after 3 trips to the laundry room there was finally a machine available. i only cried once. i'm post menstrual and my thyroid hormones are abnormal again. thank god for edibles (legal) and ring dings out of the freezer.

i just got home, full of veggie burger, from one of our favorite spots to go with a couple of local pals. the weather is fantastic, my edible is about to hit, here's a gif of a cup that took me an hour to convert from .mov last night...

this was one of the first weeks where i felt normal in awhile. i wrote a lot, finally put out my monthly newsletter, was active, and was getting stuff done. something clicked in my mind today when i realized my thyroid probably, finally adjusted to my new dose.

weekly retro #23: my last week with this one specific tooth

i'm writing this earlier than usual because monday morning i'm doing the first session of getting my crown replaced - when they they mold, remove and then put in a temporary tooth. the second session in a week or two is when they will be replacing the temporary with the new permanent crown. can you believe that a fake tooth costs about five hundred trillion dollars?
