weekly retro #85: aggressively hydrated
as i write this, i'm watching pumagreg cleaning himself for the first time in a week, having just removed his cone. what a feeling that must be for him, regaining the ability to act on his animal brained instinct of cleaning his ass. i wish some of the men in my gym had that instinct for wiping the equipment they use down when they're done.
i'm getting over a sinus infection that followed days of bad september allergies. at the very least, i can say that i'm aggresively hydrated [smacks belly] you can fit a lot of h2o in this bitch.
puma had allergies too, which caused him to lick under his arm a little raw. the cone came off tonight and tomorrow if it's still irritated the cone is going back on. i wish he understood the ultimatum lol!
i'm taking course at sfpc, my first one, and this week we had orientation. i wanted to go to the in-person part, but i underestimated how long it would take pumagreg's vet to shave his armpit and give him two churrus. class starts tomorrow morning and i'm begging the night to give me a full, restful sleep cycle.
most of the week was dealing with pumagreg and my allergies, but i got a chance to get out of the house, go to a meetup and hang out with my pal tasha. she got me this (probably knock-off) sonny angel doll that i think i'm going to move into the fridge, maybe have it hanging over the door shelf barrier thing.
things i enjoyed this week
- wordhack was great this week. this talk about an iphone dollhouse is one of the best lightning talks i've ever seen.
- this week i finished a re-read of the forest and the trees, one of my all-time favorite non-fiction books that i go to when i need to be reminded of why the world is the way it is and what my role is in it, or at least that it's not.

wow, i didn't do most of the things i wanted to do because i felt like shit! and yet no one died so i can just move on and hope next week is better and if it's not then i can just move on and hope next week is better and
