weekly retro: my last week with this one specific tooth
i'm writing this earlier than usual because monday morning i'm doing the first session of getting my crown replaced - when they they mold, remove and then put in a temporary tooth. the second session in a week or two is when they will be replacing the temporary with the new permanent crown. can you believe that a fake tooth costs about five hundred trillion dollars?
anyway, last week started with glitch shutting down. and then i started incorporating a little bit of running into my treadmill work now that i've got good shoes. i was also able to catch all three aerial yoga classes. i think i'm finally off my plateau with progress there. but as for the glitch shutdown, while i hate the outcome i'm glad it's finally done with on my end. i have more projects to move but it can be at my leisure.
this is one of the craziest flowers i've ever seen in the united states. the longer i look at its center, i'm more convinced they are aliens. i think this is the flower i relate to the most.
i hit a major milestone with bugs rock this week. we celebrated with a delicious sweet treat.
is it legal for fake cats to look this real?
here's a selfie i took by accident when i thought i was actually photographing a weird tree in front of me that i wanted to text andy because it was blue prince-coded.
here's a selfie i took on purpose for live laugh webring member brianlovesworlds in front of the paper source location near where we used to host brooklyn js. our co-host jed had bought a "Program" stamp there to tag attendees but brian and i took it and got it tattooed on us.the most important part of this selfie, and the sole reason i'm sharing it with you even, is the majestic pigeon flying in the sky.
i took that bird selfie while i was on my way to host a private robot karaoke session for a local non-profit that immerses neurodiverse students in technology. frank sinatra's "my way" with spider facts is now in my top favorite combos.
on saturday i had the 3rd installation of a 5-week book-binding workshop that the creative center of my local library is hosting. this weekend we did japanese stab binding. i made a collage book focused on tomatoes. i'll have an webpage soon for looking at my books, but you can see a video of me going through each page here.
things i enjoyed this week
- two great tiny desk concerts dropped this week: wet leg and then, just two days later, clipse. as far as brothers on stage this week after a hiatus, i think pusha t and malice are far more interesting than liam and noel, respectfully! when they sampled their late mom talking, of course i cried.
- i had a great time at our private robot karaoke event. and you can have a great time with us too at wonderville on monday night and then aux karaoke box on thursday night - both in brooklyn, both from 7-9pm.
if they don't match my new crown to its sibling crown, you'll hear me scream!
xoxo jenn
